Aperol, sparkling wine and soda water. The European aperitif that won over Argentina. Bitter, citrusy and refreshing. The 3-2-1 ratio is the key.
Ingredients
- 90 ml (3 oz) brut sparkling wine or prosecco
- 60 ml (2 oz) Aperol
- 30 ml (1 oz) soda water
- Ice
- 1 orange slice

Fill a large wine glass with ice.

Add the sparkling wine first.

Add the Aperol and the soda water.

Stir gently just once. Garnish with an orange slice.
Tips
- Classic ratio: 3 parts sparkling wine, 2 Aperol, 1 soda water.
- Sparkling wine first, then the Aperol: it layers nicely.
- No prosecco: any brut sparkling wine or sparkling white wine works.
